Giving your company an identity
Corporate branding entails using your company name as a product. In other words we attempt to incorporate your company name into all your products and the individual product brands. This increases brand recognition and can result in a substancial increase in market awareness and can also ease new product acceptance due to a strong brand awareness.
Branding is not limited to only a logo but includes touch points such as customer service, treatment and training of employees, packaging, web sites, advertising, stationery, quality of products and services. The goal is to attach a positive image to a brand which will result in clients connecting positive memories to a brand whenever they see or hear anything related to your brand.
It is important that there is strong coherence between what the company's top management seek to accomplish (strategic vision), what the company's employees know and believe (organizational culture), and how its external stakeholders perceived the company (their own image of it). Misalignments between these three factors indicate an underperforming corporate brand.
Take note that there is a difference between corporate branding and corporate identity. Corporate identity entails the physical design of your logo and design strategy whereas your brand strategy includes many more areas for consideration.
